What Do I Believe?
I am a progressive, an unapologetic advocate for the poor and the powerless, and a lifelong member of the Green Party. My politics is the politics of social justice, ecological wisdom, grassroots democracy and non-violence, the four pillars of the global Green movement. I am guided by the Ten Key Values of the Green Party of the United States and stand behind the platform of the Green Party of California.
You may wonder why I make such of a point of this, when the City Council is a non-partisan race, but unlike Democrats or Republicans, Green Party members are guided by 10 key principles and values that form the core of a political philosophy applicable at any level of government. When you vote for a Green, you know what you are getting.
