More evidence for Dye’s “elite theory”…

“according to a recent survey by Jerry Davis, a professor at the University of Michigan’s Business School […] on average, there are just 4.6 degrees of separation between any given board director and any other.”

The article also points out that only five people sit on more than six boards of directors, four of which are African American… “diversity without diversity” (i.e., tokenism). Guess only a few African-Americans are willing to “buy into the values of the American elite” (as Dye puts it).
