My Church’s Mass for the Gay and Lesbian Community
[My church has always been open to queer folk… one of our founders was openly gay, Richard Luc DePalatine, and I think we’ve had openly gay clergy our entire existence. It is not a “gay church”, but one that makes no distinctions in that area. However, we do have an institution that has been established by a gay priest specificially for the queer community. This is relatively new (last ten years). The site below contains information on the eponymous male saints, as well as two lesbian saints as well, and on when services are available. I haven’t been to a service yet, living outside of the area, but I intend to attend when I get the opportunity. -Thomas]
