More on how kids change your life…
My computer became a game machine for much of the day, as the girls played the Harry Potter games that Andrew bought them for Christmas. :)
Of course, this is another reason why email doesn’t get generated or answered with as much frequency as it usually does, and blogs don’t get updated with alacrity - girls take priority over everything else. As it should be.
The girls are a blast to watch playing games - they’re very talkative and exciteable, trading places in front of the computer, or giving instructions to whoever else is playing (they had Gunilla sitting at the keyboard for quite a while). Lynessa solved a puzzle that had everyone baffled, and then said, in a very satisfied tone, “That’s because I’ve played a bunch of these types of games.”
Got served dinner in bed by Lynessa - I was reading a book, and she came in with it and gave it to me. She really likes to play house… serving me lemonade from the lemonade maker she bought, and snacks to go with it, or giving shoulder rubs, etc. She’s much more into “girly” things than her sister - maybe it is a reflection of her age?
Although it is funny - they each have “quirks”, some things that bother her sister (like Bilbo’s freaked out expression in LTR) don’t bother Lynessa.
Girls have spent the past few days running around in the blue Joe Boxer girls size 8 robes I bought them for Christmas… they wear them over sleep shirts. Lynessa likes wearing an old ‘49ers shirt that goes down to her knees (her poppa’s a ‘49er fan - bet he felt pretty much like Raiders fans are feeling right now, when they got stomped by Tampa Bay). Lynnaea is less picky.
