Canadian Court to consider acknowledging third legal parent

A 2-year-old London, Ontario, boy could be the first child in Canada to be granted three legal parents — two moms and a dad.
A lesbian couple has petitioned a Family Court judge to declare the partner of the child’s biological mother as a third legal parent, while maintaining the status of the biological mother and father.
