System: HP 9000 827S running 9.04.

Equipment:

CD-ROM #C1503B
DDS Tape Drive, 5.25″ HH.
Two 1.3 gigabyte SCSI drives (internal). #C24745
Standard SCSI controller.
Two X.25 boards.
HPIB card
8 port Serial MUX
LAN card, AUI/Thin-Net

Anyone recognize this set-up?

This system was purchased used. We have plenty of documentation on HP-UX,
and the software that came with it, but absolutely nothing on the machine
itself.

Obviously, I know whatever the diagnostic utilities can tell me, which is
quite a bit, and what the labels on the outside tell me, but I’m still
lacking basic information regarding the number of slots, the maximum
expandability of memory, the maximum amount of memory that can be put on
one card, the specifications and performance of the built in SCSI
controller and drives, the process of upgrading the CPU to 96 MHz,
whether it can do multiple processors, whether the DDS tape drive can
handle 120 meter tapes.

Where can I get this information? What number do I call at HP? (We
don’t have a support contract with them.) Any information on the
Web, on HP sites?
