Kids here again.

Kids are here again. They spent much of yesterday with one of my wife’s best friends, Susan Kessey (a music teacher, very sweet and loving person who just adores the kids, and used to do childcare for them), at Simpkins swim center, and had a blast. She offered to take them back again today - this time, with my older daughter’s best friend, Journey, coming along. My wife’s husband seems to be unable to accept the fact that we have a wide network of close friends who act as an extended family and have good relationships with the children. I feel sorry for him, if his life and relationships so limited that he doesn’t have that.

Girls spent this morning cleaning up their room a bit (they still need a little help with this). We’ll take care of finishing it while they’re out with Susan… amazing how much chaos they can create in a single weekend, but we’ve got plans to correct that habit. :)

Schools out, which means we get even more time with the kids now. Got free passes to the Nick and Del Mar, so we’re going to go see a movie with them tonight; probably take the kids to Mike’s Soul Food (and show them the website we designed) for dinner before.

If they get back in time, we’ll go to the Juneteenth celebration at Louden Nelson Park. Tommorrow, we’ll go to church and a birthday party. Lots of things to do. :)
