In response to: The Fighting Democrat: He’s baaaaaack

You guys are hilarious… has it not gotten through to you that three solid years of unrelenting attacks on the Green Party and Ralph Nader have gotten you absolutely no where - the Green Party is far stronger, has more registrants, donors, candidates and officeholders than ever before? Your attacks on Nader are really nothing less than attacks on all the people who made the free choice of voting for him (mostly Democrats) - that is a great way to bring people back into the fold (not).

Has it not occured to you that the people who are joining and voting Green in ever greater numbers are (mostly) pissed of liberal Democrats who are fed up with the lack of leadership from the Democratic Party on issues critical to the future of the country? That the Green Party has more people of color and women in non-token leadership roles than the Dems. could ever dream of assembling?

Go on, keep on attacking Nader, and not the issues… keep on blaming Nader and the Greens for your own incompetence, instead of focusing on the Republicans… keep on trying to paint the Greens as upper middle class white liberals in the face of a contradictory reality. I most sincerely hope you continue to be as successful as you have been since 2000, as that will undoubtedly guarantee Nader far more than 5% of the vote this time around.

That’s really what you’re scared of: you know that the Green Party is orders of magnitude stronger and more organized, and that there is absolutely no chance that Nader won’t do better in 2004 than he did in 2000 - with nearly four years of Democratic cowardice in the face of rampant fascism to run against, that is a dead given.

Meanwhile, visit ISwitched.Org, and get a clue. Every attack makes us stronger!
