“Gnosis” means “knowledge”— not simply the number of facts held in one’s head, but a conjunction of knowledge with wisdom and perspective that culminates in spiritual insight. “Gnosticism” is, specifically, a category derived to express the emphasis of “Gnosis” in the belief system held by any one of a number of inter-related, spiritual traditions of the Late Antiquities.
We will examine and discuss the history and nature of Gnostics and many other related religious systems, including Manicheism, the Mandeans, the Cathars, Bogomils, Paulicians, Merkabah and Classical Hermeticism.

This group is for those of the various Gnostic Churches who wish to share information, discuss issues and network. The Eglise Gnostique in particular refers to that spiritual church founded by Jules Doinel in 19th century France, as well as its descendants, but is open to other branches and variations of Gnosticism and its affiliated Gnostic churches/organizations.
