Upgraded the blog software…
I have to complement the WordPress folks… that was just about the easiest wholesale upgrade that I’ve ever done. Utterly painless, and in less than twenty minutes, I’m looking at a completely upgraded blogging setup (of course, it helps when your backend is very cleanly separated from your front end) - one that is a vast improvement, in terms of the default look and feel, and the level of functionality and managability, from b2 and even just the previous version. Very nice. Like these guys say, every piece of web based software should be so easy to install and get working!
The only complaint I have is that it seems that a lot of the new functionality is completely undocumented… O.K., so the Geo stuff looks to be someone self-evident as far as use and configuration… but if I have questions, the answers should be somewhere other than in the support forums on their site.
Other nice stuff: the “Quicktags” appear to work properly now. That was always a mild annoyance to me. And comments are now easily editable and viewable in a separate section… just noticed that.
