CF: Matt, what kind of campaign can you mount in four weeks?

MG: Well, I think it is a luxury to say I’m going to spend $5,000 a day. I don’t think it is going to take more money than that. And it should not take more money to win the Mayor’s seat in San Francisco. This city does not want to get a glossy mailer every day. They want to see good debates, they want to give you a chance to pitch your ideas and campaign literature. Enough is enough, and the voters will decide.
