Those who run for mayor of San Francisco must be hungry for more than power. They have to display a taste for the good life.
City residents want a mayor who can juggle budgets and runaway Muni cars, but they also want a leader who can dismember a Dungeness crab, pick his or her way confidently around a dim sum cart and know, instantly and absolutely, when a chilled Grüner Veltliner would work better than beer.
