[O.K., so this isn’t as calm and well thought out as the letter to the school district. On the other hand, the situation is ongoing and appalling at the most visceral level. The bureaucrats in Washington need a kick in the ass to do something about this! -Thomas]

Tell the scum-sucking hypocritical windbags that Bush has appointed to run the state department that we, the American citizenry, are watching, and will hold them and the President
accountable for the vicious hypocrisy that subsidizing a fascist oligarchy of homophobic ex-Communist bureaucrats by $500 million dollars a year represents.

Demand that those torturing bastards in Uzbekistan free the thousands of political prisioners they now hold. And then give Ruslan the option of asylum in the U.S., along with the other gays and lesbians, bisexuals and transgendered folk being tortured in Uzbek prisions. The treatment this man has received is an outrage to the dignity of human beings everywhere, and American complicity in his continued abuse is a stain on the fabric of the nation’s soul. Free Ruslan now!
