Carol Miller: I support the Nader Independent Run

I strongly support an Independent run by Ralph Nader and ask readers of this to widely circulate my statement of support.

This is a time to transcend parties for the good of the country - and yes that includes the GP.

The biggest party is the non-voter party and who has been trying to reach them? Not the old parties who prefer to just bring in their loyalists. Who has spoken for the Independent voter - a large percentage of the voters in many states? No one since John Anderson who won 10% in the 1980 election, even against
the Reagan juggernaut.

The GP has to accept the reality that it is divided over running a full out national race, wants to put conditions on the candidate and has even considered
a defeatist withdrawal strategy at the end in favor of the evil of the two lessers.

I have committed to working in the Nader campaign and I urge others to join me. Have you ever felt more proud in the voting booth than that day in 2000
when you got to vote for Ralph Nader for President of the United States, someone you really admired and respected? I know I never felt more proud - and that includes voting for myself in four different elections.

2004 is an election for the history books. Take your place in history as an Independent campaign creates a place for non-voters, non-party members, and
others across the political spectrum finally feel like there is someone running FOR them!
