Green Party

RESOLUTION FOR A GREEN PARTY RUN IN ALL STATES

The Missouri Green Party (MOGP) urges all state Green Parties (1) to run
candidates for US president and vice-president in 2004; and (2) to include an
active campaign for president in their 2004 electoral efforts. Such participation
is important for building Green Parties as meaningful alternatives to the
corporate Democratic and Republican Parties. Presidential campaigns are
especially important in states that depend on state-wide results to gain or keep
ballot status.

CALIFORNIA: PRETTY SOON WE’LL ALL BE GREEN

I was sipping a white chocolate mocha outside Starbuck’s when my friend
Susan walked up. She was wearing a purple jogging suit and high heels -
she’s from L.A. - and her cheeks were an angry red. Throwing a copy of
the Daily Breeze onto my table, she growled, “I hate this guy!”

Where have all the jobs (and money) gone?

Irony: The state of California two years ago outsourced the
delivery of some welfare benefits to Citicorp Electronic Financial Services
Inc., which uses English-speaking workers in Bangalore and Pune to assist
the down-and-out in Bakersfield and Pacoima.
