Shift in IPO market

The 5,000 companies that went public during the 1990s executed IPOs
worth between $25 million and $35 million, on average, according to
data provided by several investment banks and by Equidesk, a
research firm.
During the past three years, however, only 264 companies went
public, and the average deal was close to $300 million.
