Kids as Saavy Consumers
I’m amused to note that the kid’s are displaying signs of becoming saavy shoppers… the other day, I overheard one of them tell their mother that the instructions on the bottle of shampoo recommending that you wash your hair twice are just there to make you use more shampoo and have to buy a new bottle faster… I would’ve dismissed that as an isolated incident, if I had not heard, just a couple of days later, the kids debating over which candy bar to choose from the racks at Fry’s, and one of them comment to the other, “How much does this one weigh? 1.7 ounces? How much does that one weigh? It says 1.5 ounces.”
