Being a geek hazardous to your health?

Apparently, I missed this angle on plans by the Selective Service agency to extend the age at which registration is mandatory to age 34 (along with adding women to the mix) — they want to require folks to tell them whether than have skills that are particularly in demand, said skills being linguistic facility in multiple languages… and knowledge of computers.

Considering that I’m 32, and pretty saavy at making computers do what I want - even having made a career out of said skill, this is somewhat alarming. I always said my professional goal was to be able to build a datacenter that someone could spray with an Uzi, knocking out half the computers in the process, without the end users ever noticing - but I hadn’t quite envisioned that actually ever happening in real life. Especially with my butt being in the line of fire!
