What is going on in the San Francisco Green Party?
The latest commentary and reporting from San Francisco Frontlines on the state of the San Francisco Green Party matches no reality that I’m aware of. However, where there is smoke, there is usually fire, so I’m curious about what thin thread of truth the obviously ideological spinjob being pitched by SF Frontlines is based on.
I have my doubts about the credibility and intent of SF Frontlines, but Marc Solomon’s comments about Carlos Petroni et. al. , previously published on this blog (http://www.thomasleavitt.org/personal/blog/index.php?m=20040720) while reinforcing those doubts, also have a personal cast to them and a tone that leave me wanting information from a more objective source.
Can any of my readers shine a light on this subject?
Regards,
Thomas Leavitt
Note: The whole “DemoGreen” concept has zero credibility with me - I’m in contact with Greens from across the state and country, ones working for Nader /Camejo and for Cobb/Lamarche, and I’ve yet to see any evidence that anyone’s actions are motivated by Democratic Party tampering or a desire to nueter the Green Party as an independent political force. Rather, in fact, I see sincere disagreements about tactics and strategy with regards to the presidential election this fall.
