I should note that I do not necessarily concur with the tone of several of
these messages posted to the GDI list. I have no reason to believe that
anyone associated with the Green Institute or Liberty Tree Foundation has in
any way financially benefitted as individuals from the recent donations that
these organizations have received, or from any prior funding by the Boell
Foundation.

I should also note that from what I have seen of Boell Foundation writings,
any charge that they support a neo-liberal agenda has not yet been supported
to my personal satisfaction. I do have reason to believe said foundation may
be soft on Zionism. I merely found the donations to be newsworthy- and the
discussion incited to be worth noting. A subject of interest.

I have arrived at no conclusions regarding this, except to note that the
vitriol of some postings is evidence of an unneccesarily divisive nominating
process. I have no reason to believe David Cobb a “millionaire”, nor have I
reason to believe his supporters “Uncle Toms”.
